The code is the Debug Mode code found in Sonic 2 and also the North American release date of the game. The code, the reward and even the level select itself are references to Sonic 2 on the Genesis. If you put the code, the getting a continue sound will play. The final thing is that theses codes work on all versions of the game. Support them by buying their products or subscribing to them or anything that helps them.
